How To Uninstall backuppc on jessie

To uninstall backuppc just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just backuppc

high-performance, enterprise-grade system for backing up PCs Debian 8.0 utils 3.3.0-2+deb8u1

sudo apt-get remove backuppc

Which will remove just the backuppc package itself.

Uninstall backuppc and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove backuppc

This will remove the backuppc package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for backuppc then this will work.

  Caution!   Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge backuppc  

Or similarly, like this backuppc

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove backuppc
