How To Uninstall cam On Debian 8
To uninstall cam just follow these instructions.
Are you having problems? You can always add camagain by following the instructions at this link.
Uninstall just cam

This will remove just the cam package itself.
Uninstall cam and its dependencies
sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove cam
This will remove the cam package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.
Purging your config/data too
If you also want to delete your local/config files for cam then this will work.
Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge cam
Or similarly, like this cam
sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove cam
