How To Uninstall lib32asan1 on jessie

To uninstall lib32asan1 just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just lib32asan1

AddressSanitizer -- a fast memory error detector (32bit) Debian 8.0 libs 4.9.2-10

sudo apt-get remove lib32asan1

Which will remove just the lib32asan1 package itself.

Uninstall lib32asan1 and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove lib32asan1

This will remove the lib32asan1 package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for lib32asan1 then this will work.

  Caution!   Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge lib32asan1  

Or similarly, like this lib32asan1

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove lib32asan1
