How To Uninstall libasan0-dbg on jessie

To uninstall libasan0-dbg just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just libasan0-dbg

AddressSanitizer -- a fast memory error detector (debug symbols) Debian 8.0 debug 4.8.4-1

sudo apt-get remove libasan0-dbg

Which will remove just the libasan0-dbg package itself.

Uninstall libasan0-dbg and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libasan0-dbg

This will remove the libasan0-dbg package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for libasan0-dbg then this will work.

  Caution!   Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge libasan0-dbg  

Or similarly, like this libasan0-dbg

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libasan0-dbg
