How To Uninstall libgcc1-dbg on jessie

To uninstall libgcc1-dbg just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just libgcc1-dbg

GCC support library (debug symbols) Debian 8.0 debug 1:4.9.2-10

sudo apt-get remove libgcc1-dbg

Which will remove just the libgcc1-dbg package itself.

Uninstall libgcc1-dbg and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libgcc1-dbg

This will remove the libgcc1-dbg package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for libgcc1-dbg then this will work.

  Caution!   Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge libgcc1-dbg  

Or similarly, like this libgcc1-dbg

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libgcc1-dbg
