How To Uninstall libgoogle-perftools4-dbg on jessie

To uninstall libgoogle-perftools4-dbg just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just libgoogle-perftools4-dbg

libraries for CPU and heap analysis, plus an efficient thread-caching malloc Debian 8.0 debug 2.2.1-0.2

sudo apt-get remove libgoogle-perftools4-dbg

Which will remove just the libgoogle-perftools4-dbg package itself.

Uninstall libgoogle-perftools4-dbg and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libgoogle-perftools4-dbg

This will remove the libgoogle-perftools4-dbg package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for libgoogle-perftools4-dbg then this will work.

  Caution!   Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge libgoogle-perftools4-dbg  

Or similarly, like this libgoogle-perftools4-dbg

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libgoogle-perftools4-dbg
