How To Uninstall libgv-php5 on jessie

To uninstall libgv-php5 just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just libgv-php5

PHP5 bindings for graphviz Debian 8.0 php 2.38.0-7

sudo apt-get remove libgv-php5

Which will remove just the libgv-php5 package itself.

Uninstall libgv-php5 and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libgv-php5

This will remove the libgv-php5 package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for libgv-php5 then this will work.

  Caution!   Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge libgv-php5  

Or similarly, like this libgv-php5

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libgv-php5
