How To Uninstall mason on jessie

To uninstall mason just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just mason

Interactively creates a Linux packet filtering firewall Debian 8.0 net 1.0.0-12.3

sudo apt-get remove mason

Which will remove just the mason package itself.

Uninstall mason and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove mason

This will remove the mason package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for mason then this will work.

  Caution!   Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge mason  

Or similarly, like this mason

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove mason
