How To Uninstall mate-netspeed-dbg on jessie

To uninstall mate-netspeed-dbg just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just mate-netspeed-dbg

Traffic monitor applet for MATE (debugging symbols) Debian 8.0 debug 1.8.0+dfsg1-2

sudo apt-get remove mate-netspeed-dbg

Which will remove just the mate-netspeed-dbg package itself.

Uninstall mate-netspeed-dbg and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove mate-netspeed-dbg

This will remove the mate-netspeed-dbg package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for mate-netspeed-dbg then this will work.

  Caution!   Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge mate-netspeed-dbg  

Or similarly, like this mate-netspeed-dbg

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove mate-netspeed-dbg
