How To Uninstall mate-panel-dbg on jessie
To uninstall mate-panel-dbg just follow these instructions.
Are you having problems? You can always remove mate-panel-dbg again by following the instructions at this link.
Uninstall just mate-panel-dbg
/debian/jessie/main///install/index.html launcher and docking facility for MATE (debugging symbols) Debian 8.0 debug 1.8.1+dfsg1-3
sudo apt-get remove mate-panel-dbg
Which will remove just the mate-panel-dbg package itself.
Uninstall mate-panel-dbg and its dependencies
sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove mate-panel-dbg
This will remove the mate-panel-dbg package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.
Purging your config/data too
If you also want to delete your local/config files for mate-panel-dbg then this will work.
Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge mate-panel-dbg
Or similarly, like this mate-panel-dbg
sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove mate-panel-dbg
