How To Uninstall mgp on jessie

To uninstall mgp just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just mgp

MagicPoint- an X11 based presentation tool Debian 8.0 x11 1.13a+upstream20090219-6

sudo apt-get remove mgp

Which will remove just the mgp package itself.

Uninstall mgp and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove mgp

This will remove the mgp package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for mgp then this will work.

  Caution!   Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge mgp  

Or similarly, like this mgp

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove mgp
