How To Uninstall modsecurity-crs on jessie

To uninstall modsecurity-crs just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just modsecurity-crs

modsecurity's Core Rule Set Debian 8.0 httpd 2.2.9-1+deb8u1

sudo apt-get remove modsecurity-crs

Which will remove just the modsecurity-crs package itself.

Uninstall modsecurity-crs and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove modsecurity-crs

This will remove the modsecurity-crs package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for modsecurity-crs then this will work.

  Caution!   Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge modsecurity-crs  

Or similarly, like this modsecurity-crs

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove modsecurity-crs
