How To Uninstall mpack on jessie

To uninstall mpack just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just mpack

tools for encoding/decoding MIME messages Debian 8.0 mail 1.6-8

sudo apt-get remove mpack

Which will remove just the mpack package itself.

Uninstall mpack and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove mpack

This will remove the mpack package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for mpack then this will work.

  Caution!   Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge mpack  

Or similarly, like this mpack

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove mpack
