How To Uninstall sash On Debian 8

To uninstall sash just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just sash

Stand-alone shellDebian 8.0shells3.8-3+b1
sudo apt-get remove sash

This will remove just the sash package itself.

Uninstall sash and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove sash

This will remove the sash package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for sash then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge sash

Or similarly, like this sash

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove sash
