How To Uninstall udns-utils On Debian 8

To uninstall udns-utils just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just udns-utils

Several DNS-related utilities built on top of udns libraryDebian 8.0net0.4-1
sudo apt-get remove udns-utils

This will remove just the udns-utils package itself.

Uninstall udns-utils and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove udns-utils

This will remove the udns-utils package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for udns-utils then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge udns-utils

Or similarly, like this udns-utils

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove udns-utils
