How To Uninstall vpnc On Debian 8

To uninstall vpnc just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just vpnc

Cisco-compatible VPN clientDebian 8.0net0.5.3r550-2
sudo apt-get remove vpnc

This will remove just the vpnc package itself.

Uninstall vpnc and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove vpnc

This will remove the vpnc package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for vpnc then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge vpnc

Or similarly, like this vpnc

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove vpnc
