How To Uninstall quake-server On Debian 9

To uninstall quake-server just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just quake-server

classic first person shooter – server and init scriptDebian 9.0contrib/games49.1
sudo apt-get remove quake-server

This will remove just the quake-server package itself.

Uninstall quake-server and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove quake-server

This will remove the quake-server package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for quake-server then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge quake-server

Or similarly, like this quake-server

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove quake-server
