How To Uninstall quake2 On Debian 9

To uninstall quake2 just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just quake2

classic science-fiction-themed first person shooterDebian 9.0contrib/games49.1
sudo apt-get remove quake2

This will remove just the quake2 package itself.

Uninstall quake2 and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove quake2

This will remove the quake2 package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for quake2 then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge quake2

Or similarly, like this quake2

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove quake2
