How To Uninstall alsa-tools-gui On Debian 9

To uninstall alsa-tools-gui just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just alsa-tools-gui

GUI based ALSA utilities for specific hardwareDebian 9.0sound1.1.3-1
sudo apt-get remove alsa-tools-gui

This will remove just the alsa-tools-gui package itself.

Uninstall alsa-tools-gui and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove alsa-tools-gui

This will remove the alsa-tools-gui package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for alsa-tools-gui then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge alsa-tools-gui

Or similarly, like this alsa-tools-gui

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove alsa-tools-gui
