How To Uninstall apt-config-auto-update on stretch

To uninstall apt-config-auto-update just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just apt-config-auto-update

Apt configuration for automatic cache updates Debian 9.0 utils 2.0.0-2

sudo apt-get remove apt-config-auto-update

Which will remove just the apt-config-auto-update package itself.

Uninstall apt-config-auto-update and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove apt-config-auto-update

This will remove the apt-config-auto-update package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for apt-config-auto-update then this will work.

  Caution!   Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge apt-config-auto-update  

Or similarly, like this apt-config-auto-update

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove apt-config-auto-update
