How To Uninstall astro-tcltk on stretch

To uninstall astro-tcltk just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just astro-tcltk

Tcl/Tk packages for astronomy Debian 9.0 metapackages 1.0

sudo apt-get remove astro-tcltk

Which will remove just the astro-tcltk package itself.

Uninstall astro-tcltk and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove astro-tcltk

This will remove the astro-tcltk package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for astro-tcltk then this will work.

  Caution!   Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge astro-tcltk  

Or similarly, like this astro-tcltk

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove astro-tcltk
