How To Uninstall bidentd On Debian 9

To uninstall bidentd just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just bidentd

Bisqwit's identd for NAT proxyingDebian 9.0net1.1.4-1.1+b2
sudo apt-get remove bidentd

This will remove just the bidentd package itself.

Uninstall bidentd and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove bidentd

This will remove the bidentd package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for bidentd then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge bidentd

Or similarly, like this bidentd

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove bidentd
