How To Uninstall bootcd on stretch

To uninstall bootcd just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just bootcd

run your system from cd without need for disks Debian 9.0 utils 5.05

sudo apt-get remove bootcd

Which will remove just the bootcd package itself.

Uninstall bootcd and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove bootcd

This will remove the bootcd package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for bootcd then this will work.

  Caution!   Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge bootcd  

Or similarly, like this bootcd

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove bootcd
