How To Uninstall bootlogd on stretch

To uninstall bootlogd just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just bootlogd

daemon to log boot messages Debian 9.0 admin 2.88dsf-59.9

sudo apt-get remove bootlogd

Which will remove just the bootlogd package itself.

Uninstall bootlogd and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove bootlogd

This will remove the bootlogd package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for bootlogd then this will work.

  Caution!   Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge bootlogd  

Or similarly, like this bootlogd

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove bootlogd
