How To Uninstall ejabberd-mod-shcommands on stretch

To uninstall ejabberd-mod-shcommands just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just ejabberd-mod-shcommands

execute shell commands via XMPP (dangerous!) Debian 9.0 net 0.2016.09.12~dfsg0-2

sudo apt-get remove ejabberd-mod-shcommands

Which will remove just the ejabberd-mod-shcommands package itself.

Uninstall ejabberd-mod-shcommands and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove ejabberd-mod-shcommands

This will remove the ejabberd-mod-shcommands package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for ejabberd-mod-shcommands then this will work.

  Caution!   Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge ejabberd-mod-shcommands  

Or similarly, like this ejabberd-mod-shcommands

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove ejabberd-mod-shcommands
