How To Uninstall f2j on stretch

To uninstall f2j just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just f2j

Fortran to Java compiler Debian 9.0 java 0.8.1+dfsg-2

sudo apt-get remove f2j

Which will remove just the f2j package itself.

Uninstall f2j and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove f2j

This will remove the f2j package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for f2j then this will work.

  Caution!   Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge f2j  

Or similarly, like this f2j

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove f2j
