How To Uninstall firebird3.0-common on stretch

To uninstall firebird3.0-common just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just firebird3.0-common

common files for firebird 3.0 server, client and utilities Debian 9.0 database 3.0.1.32609.ds4-14

sudo apt-get remove firebird3.0-common

Which will remove just the firebird3.0-common package itself.

Uninstall firebird3.0-common and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove firebird3.0-common

This will remove the firebird3.0-common package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for firebird3.0-common then this will work.

  Caution!   Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge firebird3.0-common  

Or similarly, like this firebird3.0-common

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove firebird3.0-common
