How To Uninstall font-hosny-amiri on stretch

To uninstall font-hosny-amiri just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just font-hosny-amiri

Arabic Naskh style typographically oriented font (transitional package) Debian 9.0 oldlibs 0.107-1

sudo apt-get remove font-hosny-amiri

Which will remove just the font-hosny-amiri package itself.

Uninstall font-hosny-amiri and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove font-hosny-amiri

This will remove the font-hosny-amiri package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for font-hosny-amiri then this will work.

  Caution!   Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge font-hosny-amiri  

Or similarly, like this font-hosny-amiri

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove font-hosny-amiri
