How To Uninstall mono-apache-server on stretch

To uninstall mono-apache-server just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just mono-apache-server

ASP.NET backend for mod_mono Apache module - default version Debian 9.0 httpd 4.2-2.1

sudo apt-get remove mono-apache-server

Which will remove just the mono-apache-server package itself.

Uninstall mono-apache-server and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove mono-apache-server

This will remove the mono-apache-server package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for mono-apache-server then this will work.

  Caution!   Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge mono-apache-server  

Or similarly, like this mono-apache-server

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove mono-apache-server
