How To Uninstall mount on stretch

To uninstall mount just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just mount

tools for mounting and manipulating filesystems Debian 9.0 admin 2.29.2-1

sudo apt-get remove mount

Which will remove just the mount package itself.

Uninstall mount and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove mount

This will remove the mount package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for mount then this will work.

  Caution!   Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge mount  

Or similarly, like this mount

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove mount
