How To Uninstall mozilla-plugin-gnash On Debian 9

To uninstall mozilla-plugin-gnash just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just mozilla-plugin-gnash

dummy package for renaming to browser-plugin-gnashDebian 9.0oldlibs0.8.11~git20160608-1.3
sudo apt-get remove mozilla-plugin-gnash

This will remove just the mozilla-plugin-gnash package itself.

Uninstall mozilla-plugin-gnash and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove mozilla-plugin-gnash

This will remove the mozilla-plugin-gnash package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for mozilla-plugin-gnash then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge mozilla-plugin-gnash

Or similarly, like this mozilla-plugin-gnash

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove mozilla-plugin-gnash
