How To Uninstall octave-parallel On Debian 9

To uninstall octave-parallel just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just octave-parallel

parallel execution of Octave in clusters of computersDebian 9.0math3.1.1-1
sudo apt-get remove octave-parallel

This will remove just the octave-parallel package itself.

Uninstall octave-parallel and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove octave-parallel

This will remove the octave-parallel package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for octave-parallel then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge octave-parallel

Or similarly, like this octave-parallel

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove octave-parallel
