How To Uninstall r-cran-optparse on stretch

To uninstall r-cran-optparse just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just r-cran-optparse

GNU/R Command line option parser Debian 9.0 gnu-r 1.3.2-1

sudo apt-get remove r-cran-optparse

Which will remove just the r-cran-optparse package itself.

Uninstall r-cran-optparse and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove r-cran-optparse

This will remove the r-cran-optparse package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for r-cran-optparse then this will work.

  Caution!   Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge r-cran-optparse  

Or similarly, like this r-cran-optparse

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove r-cran-optparse
