How To Uninstall velvet-tests On Debian 9

To uninstall velvet-tests just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just velvet-tests

Test data for the Velvet sequence assemblerDebian 9.0science1.2.10+dfsg1-3
sudo apt-get remove velvet-tests

This will remove just the velvet-tests package itself.

Uninstall velvet-tests and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove velvet-tests

This will remove the velvet-tests package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for velvet-tests then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge velvet-tests

Or similarly, like this velvet-tests

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove velvet-tests
