How To Uninstall vmdebootstrap On Debian 9

To uninstall vmdebootstrap just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just vmdebootstrap

Bootstrap Debian into a (virtual machine) disk imageDebian 9.0admin1.7-1
sudo apt-get remove vmdebootstrap

This will remove just the vmdebootstrap package itself.

Uninstall vmdebootstrap and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove vmdebootstrap

This will remove the vmdebootstrap package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for vmdebootstrap then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge vmdebootstrap

Or similarly, like this vmdebootstrap

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove vmdebootstrap
