How To Uninstall volatility On Debian 9

To uninstall volatility just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just volatility

advanced memory forensics frameworkDebian 9.0utils2.6-1
sudo apt-get remove volatility

This will remove just the volatility package itself.

Uninstall volatility and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove volatility

This will remove the volatility package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for volatility then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge volatility

Or similarly, like this volatility

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove volatility
