How To Uninstall jam On Debian 7

To uninstall jam just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just jam

Software-build tool, replacement for makeDebian 7.0devel2.5rel-1
sudo apt-get remove jam

This will remove just the jam package itself.

Uninstall jam and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove jam

This will remove the jam package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for jam then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge jam

Or similarly, like this jam

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove jam
