How To Uninstall jedit On Debian 7

To uninstall jedit just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just jedit

Plugin-based editor for programmersDebian 7.0editors4.5.2+dfsg-1
sudo apt-get remove jedit

This will remove just the jedit package itself.

Uninstall jedit and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove jedit

This will remove the jedit package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for jedit then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge jedit

Or similarly, like this jedit

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove jedit
