How To Uninstall jovie-dbg On Debian 7

To uninstall jovie-dbg just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just jovie-dbg

debugging symbols for jovieDebian 7.0debug4:4.8.4-2
sudo apt-get remove jovie-dbg

This will remove just the jovie-dbg package itself.

Uninstall jovie-dbg and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove jovie-dbg

This will remove the jovie-dbg package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for jovie-dbg then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge jovie-dbg

Or similarly, like this jovie-dbg

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove jovie-dbg
