How To Uninstall libcupscgi1 on wheezy

To uninstall libcupscgi1 just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just libcupscgi1

Common UNIX Printing System(tm) - CGI library Debian 7.0 libs 1.5.3-5+deb7u6

sudo apt-get remove libcupscgi1

Which will remove just the libcupscgi1 package itself.

Uninstall libcupscgi1 and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libcupscgi1

This will remove the libcupscgi1 package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for libcupscgi1 then this will work.

  Caution!   Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge libcupscgi1  

Or similarly, like this libcupscgi1

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libcupscgi1
