How To Uninstall libglobus-gsi-proxy-ssl-dev on wheezy

To uninstall libglobus-gsi-proxy-ssl-dev just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just libglobus-gsi-proxy-ssl-dev

Globus Toolkit - Globus GSI Proxy SSL Library Development Files Debian 7.0 libdevel 4.1-2

sudo apt-get remove libglobus-gsi-proxy-ssl-dev

Which will remove just the libglobus-gsi-proxy-ssl-dev package itself.

Uninstall libglobus-gsi-proxy-ssl-dev and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libglobus-gsi-proxy-ssl-dev

This will remove the libglobus-gsi-proxy-ssl-dev package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for libglobus-gsi-proxy-ssl-dev then this will work.

  Caution!   Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge libglobus-gsi-proxy-ssl-dev  

Or similarly, like this libglobus-gsi-proxy-ssl-dev

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libglobus-gsi-proxy-ssl-dev
