How To Uninstall libparpack2 on wheezy

To uninstall libparpack2 just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just libparpack2

Parallel subroutines to solve large scale eigenvalue problems Debian 7.0 libs 3.1.1-2.1

sudo apt-get remove libparpack2

Which will remove just the libparpack2 package itself.

Uninstall libparpack2 and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libparpack2

This will remove the libparpack2 package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for libparpack2 then this will work.

  Caution!   Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge libparpack2  

Or similarly, like this libparpack2

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libparpack2
