How To Uninstall libvte0.16-cil-dev on wheezy

To uninstall libvte0.16-cil-dev just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just libvte0.16-cil-dev

CLI binding for VTE 0.16 Debian 7.0 cli-mono 2.26.0-8

sudo apt-get remove libvte0.16-cil-dev

Which will remove just the libvte0.16-cil-dev package itself.

Uninstall libvte0.16-cil-dev and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libvte0.16-cil-dev

This will remove the libvte0.16-cil-dev package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for libvte0.16-cil-dev then this will work.

  Caution!   Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge libvte0.16-cil-dev  

Or similarly, like this libvte0.16-cil-dev

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libvte0.16-cil-dev
