To install python just follow these instructions.
Are you having problems? You can always remove python again by following the instructions at this link.
Install python
/debian/wheezy/main///install/index.html interactive high-level object-oriented language (default version) Debian 7.0 python 2.7.3-4+deb7u1
sudo apt-get install python
Which will install python and any other packages on which it depends.
