How To Uninstall tcs on wheezy

To uninstall tcs just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just tcs

character set translator Debian 7.0 text 1-11

sudo apt-get remove tcs

Which will remove just the tcs package itself.

Uninstall tcs and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove tcs

This will remove the tcs package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for tcs then this will work.

  Caution!   Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge tcs  

Or similarly, like this tcs

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove tcs
