How To Uninstall telnetd-ssl on wheezy

To uninstall telnetd-ssl just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just telnetd-ssl

telnet server with SSL encryption support Debian 7.0 net 0.17.24+0.1-23

sudo apt-get remove telnetd-ssl

Which will remove just the telnetd-ssl package itself.

Uninstall telnetd-ssl and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove telnetd-ssl

This will remove the telnetd-ssl package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for telnetd-ssl then this will work.

  Caution!   Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge telnetd-ssl  

Or similarly, like this telnetd-ssl

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove telnetd-ssl
