How To Uninstall thin on wheezy

To uninstall thin just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just thin

fast and very simple Ruby web server Debian 7.0 web 1.3.1-3

sudo apt-get remove thin

Which will remove just the thin package itself.

Uninstall thin and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove thin

This will remove the thin package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for thin then this will work.

  Caution!   Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge thin  

Or similarly, like this thin

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove thin
