How To Uninstall thin1.8 on wheezy

To uninstall thin1.8 just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just thin1.8

Transitional package for thin Debian 7.0 web 1.3.1-3

sudo apt-get remove thin1.8

Which will remove just the thin1.8 package itself.

Uninstall thin1.8 and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove thin1.8

This will remove the thin1.8 package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for thin1.8 then this will work.

  Caution!   Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge thin1.8  

Or similarly, like this thin1.8

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove thin1.8
