How To Uninstall time on wheezy

To uninstall time just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just time

GNU time program for measuring CPU resource usage Debian 7.0 utils 1.7-24

sudo apt-get remove time

Which will remove just the time package itself.

Uninstall time and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove time

This will remove the time package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for time then this will work.

  Caution!   Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge time  

Or similarly, like this time

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove time
