How To Uninstall tin on wheezy

To uninstall tin just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just tin

A full-screen easy to use Usenet newsreader Debian 7.0 news 1:2.1.1-1

sudo apt-get remove tin

Which will remove just the tin package itself.

Uninstall tin and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove tin

This will remove the tin package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for tin then this will work.

  Caution!   Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge tin  

Or similarly, like this tin

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove tin
